Georgia Dale - Georgia Dale Wines

Georgia began her winemaking journey in the Yarra Valley at Domaine Chandon, working in the production of wine. It was here over 3 years that Georgia truly discovered a passion for Blanc de Blancs and sparkling.

Furthering her education, Georgia then focused on still wine at Helens Hill. It was at this time she was chosen to participate in the young winemaking program at No.7. Sourcing in Heathcote, Shiraz grapes, Georgia made her first commercial Southern Rhone style Syrah. Doors then opened for Georgia, guiding her down an exciting path in sparkling wine, firstly Schramsberg vineyards in the Napa Valley, California. Famous for their prestigious Blanc de Blancs sparkling. The presidents wine, served at the White House since Richard Nixon 1972. Within the hills of Calistoga, Georgia worked in caves. An incredible experience. It was such a rare privilege being part of the making of America’s greatest sparkling wine.

Georgia returned to Australia to work with the great Kate Laurie at Deviation Rd in the Adelaide Hills. Working alongside Kate in every facet of the production of her wine took Georgia's craft to another level, an experience she will be ever grateful for.

Georgia is now back in the Yarra Valley where I was offered a small vineyard, 30 year old Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard in need of love.
