Where is Wine Simple based?

Wine Simple is based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, and ships wine to customers all over Australia. We work closely with wineries across regions such as the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Eden Valley, Adelaide Hills, Yarra Valley, Hunter Valley and more.

Do you have a physical store or cellar door?

Wine Simple is currently an online-only wine store. From time to time we host tastings, pop-ups or events in person. The best way to hear about those is to follow us on social media and join our email list.

What makes Wine Simple different from big bottle shops?

We don’t try to stock everything. Instead, we specialise in wines that we genuinely love and would happily pour for friends at home – often from smaller producers you won’t see in the major chains. How do I place an order?

Browse our collections (for example Red Wine and White Wine), choose your bottles or mixed packs, add them to your cart and follow the secure checkout. You’ll receive an order confirmation by email and another email with tracking details once your wine has shipped.

Do I need an account to buy wine online?

You can check out as a guest, but creating an account makes it easier to see past orders, save addresses and re-order your favourite wines. It also helps us personalise recommendations over time.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

If you need to change your order details (address, wines, quantity) or cancel, please contact us as soon as possible. Once an order has been packed or shipped it may not be possible to alter it, but we’ll always do our best to help.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit and debit cards and other secure online payment methods offered at checkout. All payments are processed through trusted, PCI-compliant providers and are encrypted for your security.

Are prices in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST?

Yes. All prices on Wine Simple are shown in Australian dollars (AUD). Where applicable, GST is included in the price you see on the product page and at checkout.

Shipping & Delivery

Do you deliver wine across Australia?

Yes. We offer wine delivery to major cities and many regional areas around Australia, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. Remote or very isolated locations may have longer delivery times or limited service depending on the courier network.

How much does shipping cost? Do you offer free delivery?

Most orders ship with a simple flat delivery fee, and we regularly offer free shipping when you spend a certain amount in one order (for example, free delivery on orders of $180 or more). Shipping offers can change from time to time, so always check the latest banner or your cart for the current rate.

How long will my wine delivery take?

Delivery times depend on your location and courier network, but as a guide:

  • QLD, NSW, VIC, SA & ACT metro: usually around 2–6 business days after dispatch.
  • Regional areas & WA / NT / TAS: can take a little longer depending on distance and courier schedules.

These are estimates only. Peak periods, public holidays and extreme weather can impact transit times.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Once your order has been dispatched you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details so you can follow your wine as it makes its way to your door.

What happens if I’m not home when my wine is delivered?

Couriers generally require an adult to be present to accept delivery of alcohol. In some areas you may be able to provide authority to leave the parcel in a safe place, subject to courier policies and Responsible Service of Alcohol obligations. If delivery cannot be completed, your order may be taken to a local collection point or a re-delivery may be arranged.

Do you deliver to apartments, offices or workplaces?

Yes. We can deliver to residential homes, apartments and many business addresses, provided an adult (18+) is available to receive the delivery. Please include any helpful delivery notes (gate codes, reception hours, etc.) at checkout.

Do you offer same-day or express wine delivery?

At this stage we focus on fast, reliable courier delivery rather than one-hour or instant services. If you need wine by a specific date (for example, a gift or event), please order ahead where possible and use the tracking link to follow your order.

How do you pack wine for shipping?

Orders are packed in sturdy cartons or specialised wine shippers designed to protect bottles in transit. We always aim to minimise movement and keep your wine safe from knocks and bumps on the way to you.

What about hot weather and heat damage?

Heat can be tough on wine. We monitor conditions and may adjust dispatch days or use additional protective packaging during periods of extreme heat where possible. We taste widely and only stock wines we genuinely believe over-deliver for their price. That includes boutique producers, classic Australian regions and a strong focus on quality, balance and drinkability. We avoid “supermarket specials” in favour of wines with real character and a story behind them.

Do you only stock Australian wine?

Our main focus is Australian wine – from Barossa Shiraz and McLaren Vale Grenache to Yarra Valley Chardonnay, Hunter Valley Semillon, Tasmanian Pinot Noir and more. From time to time we may offer imported wines if they fit our philosophy and complement the range.

Do you stock Halliday-rated and award-winning wines?

Yes. Many wines at Wine Simple have been highly rated by the Halliday Wine Companion and other critics. You can browse our dedicated Halliday Collection to find wines with strong scores, often from smaller producers that still fly under the radar.

What happens if a wine vintage changes?

We always aim to ensure the vintage listed on the product page matches the wine we ship. When a vintage change occurs, we update the listing as quickly as possible. If there’s ever a situation where the vintage needs to be swapped after you order, we’ll do our best to contact you before dispatch to confirm you’re happy with the change.

Do you offer mixed cases and curated packs?

How should I store my wine once it arrives?

For most wines, store bottles lying down (if sealed with cork) or standing upright (if under screw cap) in a cool, dark place with a steady temperature. Returns, Refunds & Problems with Your Order

What is your returns and refund policy?

We want you to be happy with every bottle. If your order arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and photos where relevant. We comply with Australian Consumer Law and will work with you to repair, replace or refund where appropriate.

What should I do if my wine arrives broken, leaking or damaged?

If any bottles arrive broken, leaking or clearly damaged in transit, please take clear photos of the packaging and affected bottles and contact us promptly. We’ll liaise with the courier and organise a replacement or refund in line with our policy.

What if I think a wine is faulty or corked?

Occasionally a bottle may be faulty (for example, cork taint or serious oxidation). If you believe a wine is not sound, keep the bottle (with most of the wine still inside if possible) and contact us with details. We may request photos or further information and will assess replacements or credits on a case-by-case basis.

Can I return wine if I change my mind?

Change-of-mind returns for alcohol are more limited than for many other products. If you’ve simply changed your mind and the wine has been stored correctly and not opened, please contact us to discuss your situation. While we are not obliged to offer a refund in every case, we’ll always be fair and follow Australian Consumer Law.

What if my tracking says delivered but I can’t find my parcel?

First, check any safe drop locations, building mail rooms, reception areas or with neighbours who may have accepted the parcel. If you still can’t locate it, contact us with your order number and tracking details. We’ll investigate with the courier and work with you to find a solution in line with our delivery and returns policy.
