There are plenty of places to buy wine online. Wine Simple exists for people who want better bottles — without the big-retail noise, fake discounts, or “too much choice” overload.
Wine Simple is built around personal selection. If a wine isn’t genuinely exciting, it doesn’t make the cut. That means you’re not scrolling through thousands — you’re choosing from a range curated for quality.
We’d rather miss a sale than stock something average. The goal isn’t “more bottles” — it’s better drinking.
We work directly with Australian producers (from emerging names to icons) and trusted small distributors. Better access, clearer provenance, and real stories behind what you’re pouring.
You won’t see constant “70% off” theatre here. Pricing is kept sharp and honest — and when there is a deal, it’s real.
Boutique, small-batch, and limited releases are the heartbeat of Wine Simple — with a sprinkling of Australian icons for those “special bottle” moments. The common thread is simple: it has to deliver.
Orders are packed properly (because broken bottles ruin weekends) and dispatched quickly on business days. If something arrives damaged or incorrect, we’ll sort it fast.
Wine Simple has been recognised by Google as an Exceptional Store based on performance and customer experience. It’s earned through service — not paid for.
Tell us what you normally drink (or what you want to avoid) and we’ll point you to something you’ll actually enjoy — without judgement and without jargon.
Need wine? Simple. Wine Simple.
No — and that’s the point. We keep the range intentionally curated. If a producer makes many wines, we’ll only list the bottles that truly overdeliver on quality and value.
Not necessarily. We aim for honest value rather than inflated “discount pricing”. You’re paying for quality, curation, and a better hit-rate — not noise.
Absolutely. Message us through the contact page and tell us the occasion, budget, and what they usually like. We’ll recommend options that make you look like you know what you’re doing.

So when you order from Wine Simple, you’re not guessing. You’re buying from a store that’s publicly rated for service, not just price.
About Matt Chalmers
I’ve always been a wine consumer first. I love wine. That’s where this all started — not in retail, not on a vineyard but as a lover of wine.
One bottle led to another, then another, and I found myself chasing down new releases, new regions and new winemakers.
I wasn’t just buying wine. I was collecting it, learning about it, and talking to the people who made it. I fell in love with the winemakers themselves — the work, the honesty, the obsession it takes to turn fruit into something worth remembering.
I started sharing those wines and those stories on Instagram. For a few years it was just that: tasting, reviewing, telling people “this is wine is amazing.”
Then it clicked. Instead of only talking about great wine, I could actually put my money where my mouth is and start selling it.
That’s how Wine Simple began.
If I don’t like it, I don’t sell it. It’s that simple. I work directly with winemakers across Australia — from some of the most famous names in the country to tiny producers making a few hundred cases. Those relationships mean I can choose quality over profit, every single time.
Direct relationship with Winemakers & Vineyard Custodians
Wine Simple isn’t just about buying stock — it’s about working with the people who make the wine.
I work directly with winemakers across Australia, from the next generation to the guardians of some of the most important vineyards in the country. People like Emily Glover, who’s building her own label while racking up awards and pushing modern Australian Rosé into serious territory. People like Harry Scanlon, a young winemaker crafting detailed, site-driven wines and redefining styles like Fumé Blanc for a new audience.
I also work with families who’ve been farming and making wine for generations. Adrian Hoffmann in the Barossa isn’t just making Grenache — he’s a custodian of old vines and historic vineyard blocks, treating them with the kind of respect you simply can’t fake. And at the other end of the spectrum, I have access to some of Australia’s most iconic names — including Henschke — producers whose wines are known all over the world.
From small, emerging makers doing a few hundred cases… to multi-generation Barossa custodians… to Australian royalty.
That’s the point: you’re not just buying a bottle. You’re getting a direct line into the best of Australian wine, from the ground up.
Quality Over Profit
Wine Simple isn’t built on volume. It’s built on taste.
I’m not here to throw 70 different Shiraz options at you and make you guess. I choose the best expression of that style that’s available right now. Same with Chardonnay. Same with Grenache. You get the standouts — not the noise.
I don’t want to spam you every day with “this is the best wine we’ve ever had,” and then tomorrow say, “no actually THIS is the best,” and then the next day “limited offer, must buy now.” That game is exhausting. It’s also dishonest.
Here’s how I run it instead:
A lot of the wines I offer are small-batch. Some of them are made in tiny quantities — a few hundred cases for the whole country. When they’re gone, they’re gone. That’s part of the point.
Wine Simple is not about pushing whatever margin looks good on a spreadsheet. It’s about putting legitimately good Australian wine in your glass, from winemakers I actually respect, at a price that makes sense.
