Halliday 5-Star Winery | Hunter Valley Classic Range. Crafted by Chief Winemaker Liz Silkman and her team, this 2022 Shiraz captures the essence of the Hunter Valley—medium-bodied, savoury and beautifully balanced.

Small parcels of fruit were crushed and fermented in 2-4 tonne batches, then aged in French oak hogsheads and puncheons to polish the fruit tannins. The result is bright red-purple hues, spicy plum and vanillin oak aromas, with layers of black fruit, earth, charcuterie, sarsaparilla and liquorice. Supple tannins and gentle oak integration make this a seamless, food-friendly style.

A lighter-framed, contemporary Hunter Shiraz that reflects its cool season—sweet-fruited, fragrant and effortlessly drinkable. High-class winemaking at remarkable value.

Winemaker's Notes

Small parcels of Hunter Valley fruit were crushed and fermented in 2–4 tonne batches. After pressing, the wine matured in a combination of French oak hogsheads and puncheons to enhance tannin integration. The style shows a classic medium body, supple fruit and savoury complexity—bright plum and red-berry fruit framed by toasty oak and mocha spice.
