Description

The 2021 Greenock Creek Apricot Block Shiraz is pure Barossa Valley power, wrapped in a velvet cloak. Grown on a former apricot orchard, this Shiraz is a layered, full-bodied, and age-worthy beauty that blends floral elegance with intense dark fruit, chocolatey plushness, and serious structure.

The vineyard’s unique silty loam over flint and quartz gives this wine its signature flinty minerality, robust tannins, and deep complexity. Aged in 60% American and 40% French oak (15% new), it’s silky yet intense, bursting with black cherries, blackcurrants, dark chocolate, molasses, and spice. Think Saint-Joseph meets Barossa Valley, with a finish that lingers long after the last sip.

Cellaring? This wine has 15+ years of greatness ahead, but why wait? Open it now, decant, and experience the depth of one of Barossa’s finest Shiraz expressions.

Further Information About this Wine

The Apricot Block vineyard was planted in 1995 on sandy loam over flint and quartz, producing some of Barossa’s most refined yet powerful Shiraz. The contoured top section yields fruit with floral and flinty tones, while the lower sandy loam delivers plush, chocolatey richness. Aged in a mix of American (60%) and French (40%) oak, this wine blends strength, elegance, and complexity in every sip.
