Bin 28 is made to showcase warm-climate Australian Shiraz in a rich, robust and generously flavoured style. The 2024 release combines fruit from McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley, Padthaway, Clare Valley and Fleurieu, then matures for 12 months in American oak hogsheads.
The wine shows deep colour, dark berry fruit, savoury spice, firm tannins and a long, confident finish. It is unmistakably Bin 28: generous, structured and built around Shiraz power.

Penfolds Bin 28 Shiraz is one of the long-standing names in the Penfolds Collection. First made in 1959, it was originally named after the famous Kalimna vineyard in the Barossa Valley. Today, Bin 28 is a multi-region and multi-vineyard Shiraz, with the Barossa Valley still strongly represented.
The 2024 release brings together fruit from McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley, Padthaway, Clare Valley and Fleurieu. This gives the wine power and depth, but also balance. McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley bring richness and concentration, while Padthaway and Clare Valley help retain structure, freshness and savoury detail.
