Multi-Vintage Blanc de Noir | Adelaide Hills. A rare and refined sparkling Pinot Noir, the Johanne Ida Selma Blanc de Noir MD honours more than 155 years of Henschke family winemaking.

Pale lemon with green hues. The nose offers orange blossom, apple, red cherry and lemon curd, opening into subtle layers of brioche and toasted hazelnut. A fine, persistent bead unfurls across the palate, carrying generous flavours of white peach, raspberry, nougat and roasted cashew. Bright acidity lends superb freshness, elegance and length.

This eighth release brings together multiple vintages—some matured on tirage for up to 26 years—blending purity, texture and bottle-aged complexity. Mastercrafted from Pinot Noir grown in the cool-climate Lenswood vineyard, home to some of the Adelaide Hills’ oldest Pinot vines.

and-selected Pinot Noir was whole-bunch pressed before cool fermentation and full malolactic fermentation. The wine was bottle-fermented and matured on lees to build layered texture and complexity. Multiple vintages (1999–2019) were blended and matured prior to disgorgement, resulting in an assemblage that combines purity, depth and exceptional aged character.

This multi-vintage sparkling pays homage to the Henschke family legacy. The Lenswood site, purchased by Stephen and Prue Henschke in the early 1980s, sits high in the cool-climate Adelaide Hills, where Pinot Noir thrives. Fruit selected from some of the region’s oldest Pinot Noir vines contributes depth and purity to the final blend.
Each vintage component is chosen for elegance, structure and ageing potential. Blended together, these parcels create a sparkling wine of remarkable refinement — red fruit lift overlaid with nut, brioche and crystalline acidity. Named for Johanne Ida Selma, grandmother of fourth-generation winemaker Cyril Henschke, this wine celebrates family heritage, artistry and longevity.
