Winemaker's Notes

The Wine:
Subtle grass appearance and a wine that delivers on the palate fresh, fruity, and floral, notes of pear, lychee and hints of honey and vanilla, with a dry and crisp finish. On the nose delicate floral and citrus aromas. a core of fruit intensity underpinned by the acidity born of a cool season in a cool region. A safe 5-8 years of cellaring will see it bloom into a toasty complex beauty.

Vineyard Notes:
Grapes sourced from a newly established Adelaide Hills Riesling block planted in 2017 with cuttings from the same GM198 clone 1998 vineyard on the property. With a gentle westerly aspect and the soil compositions of loam over shale and sheet sandstone, this site was carefully procured with the end goal of producing fine, balanced Riesling grapes.

Winemaker Notes: Pete Leske
Handpicked and whole bunch pressed, this (very) small batch wine has been carefully crafted to replicate the wines of the Rhine Valley. This wine was bottled on the 3rd of May, earlier than usual to preserve the fresh and lively characters.
