Delicate aromas of redcurrant, ripe pear, nectarine and blood orange lead into a beautifully balanced palate layered with citrus peel, soft spice and juicy orchard fruits. A short period of skin contact adds a delicate copper hue, gentle tannin and subtle savoury complexity, before finishing with refreshing orange pith and remarkable length.

Hand-picked over multiple passes and fermented in a combination of stainless steel and seasoned French oak, this is Pinot Gris with depth, energy and finesse. Fresh enough to enjoy now, yet beautifully structured to reward a few years in the cellar.

"20% was crushed and fermented on skins for seven days. A pale, bright salmon colour. Beautifully poised with its aromas of redcurrant, nectarine, pear and blood orange. Even better on the palate, where the flavours and texture are perfectly balanced by subtle time-on-skins tannins, before finishing orange-pithy and long. Should age nicely, too. Winemaker's Notes

Fruit was hand-picked from a single Surf Coast vineyard over several passes to capture optimum flavour and natural acidity. Around 20% of the fruit underwent seven days of skin contact before pressing, contributing delicate colour, fine tannins and additional aromatic complexity. Fermentation occurred in both stainless steel and seasoned French oak, allowing purity of fruit while adding subtle texture and depth. The result is an expressive Pinot Gris that balances freshness with sophistication.
