Aromas of lemon zest, kaffir lime leaf and early spring florals open first; the palate follows with grapefruit pith, lime curd and a whisper of cut grass, all wrapped in crystalline minerality and tension that stretches through a long finish.

Fruit is drawn from the Brokenback, Blackberry and Murphy vineyards (40/40/20), vinified to express precision and purity with some lees maturation for weight. This is classic dry Hunter style with a modern edge.

There is a lot going on in this delicious wine: lemon zest, grapefruit, lime leaf and a little freshly cut grass. The palate is zippy and intense, with fabulous shape from the interplay between the acidity and phenolics. It is a joyous, well-balanced wine with great drive. Simply fabulous for the price."
