How do I choose a red wine?
Think by body and flavour: light = Pinot Noir (red cherry, silky); medium = Grenache/GSM (red fruit, spice); full = Shiraz/Cabernet (dark fruit, firmer tannin). Use our filters and tasting notes to match your style, food and budget.
Serving temperature & decanting?
Serve lightly chilled for Pinot (12–15 °C); most medium-bodied reds 14–16 °C; fuller Shiraz/Cabernet 16–18 °C. Decant young, structured reds 30–60 minutes; older bottles need gentle pouring and shorter air time.
Food pairings?
Pinot Noir: roast chicken, salmon, mushrooms. Grenache/GSM: BBQ, pizza, lamb, Mediterranean spices. Shiraz/Cabernet: steak, slow-cooked lamb, hard cheeses. Match tannin to protein/fat; spicier dishes suit juicier, medium-bodied reds.
